Biography

I was born March 11, 1973 in Barbados, West Indies. I attended Workman’s Primary school and went on to Springer Memorial High School. During the early stages of my pregnancy, I migrated to the USA in the winter (March) of 1994 with my mother and my step-father and in October gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. After my daughter’s father, residing in Barbados, decided he was no longer man enough to support his daughter, I was immediately forced to join the welfare line.

After countless disappointments trying to make ends meet I decided school was the only alternative to improve my life. I attended Jon Louis Beauty School and gained a cosmetology license only to realize my heart was not into hair. After some intensive thinking, I enrolled in the Business Administration program at Drake Business School in 1999. I graduated Valedictorian and went on to my first career journey as a Financial Aid Advisor. My urge to work more directly with students pushed me to accept the position as an Admission Representative. This field allowed me to plan people’s careers. I was now changing lives by presenting the importance of education and using my life as a testimony. Metropolitan College of New York is where I acquired my BA degree in Business Management. Currently I am pursuing my Master’s Degree in Business Leadership-General at Capella University.

I married to my supposed dream husband in 2002. After the wedding vows came the mental and physical abuse. I grew up as a child seeing my mom being abused constantly by my dad. For 16 years my mom lived in an abusive relationship and eventually she said the words, “I have had enough.” I never dreamed I would walk the same path. I suffered a marriage of brutal mental and physical abuse, but the final straw was finding a peephole into my 13-year-old daughter’s bedroom. I wasted not another second to get out of this destructive marriage. My daughter’s safety was more important than anything else in this world. At whatever cost I fought him in court to obtain a restraining order. It took one year to get this document and it was worth every dime.

My major dream was put on hold because of the constant misery and disappointing marriage. My wake-up call came immediately when I saw Barrack Obama’s eagerness to become President of the United States. It built up a massive amount of motivation and courage to take a serious stand towards my dream. No longer was I considering the shape of the economy. I intended to move forward with my dreams regardless. I created Women’s Motivational Service to discuss women’s issues and to help women find their purpose in this universe. The business was established on November 2008 with great success.

Life is our greatest commodity and we have to live our life to its fullest potential. In this journey you have to find your purpose. My strongest passion and desire lies with helping women to find their own purpose and help them achieve that purpose. If you have purpose you have everything. I have learned in my journey the sky is the limit. It is reachable once you have the right tools, a big heart of willpower, and purpose.
